Musical Aspirations
I began taking piano lessons towards the end of high school. Better late than never! Since then, I’ve been teaching myself one piece at a time, slowly. Piano is not my main focus in life, but as you may have seen in my architecture mission statement, one of my passions is designing concert halls. As I’m working towards that goal, I am learning some pieces that I love and will soon perform. I will perform the entirety of Beethoven’s 18th Piano Sonata at the end of my undergraduate years then will start learning Mendelssohn’s Piano Concerto no. 1 as I enter graduate school. One day, I would like to perform a piano concerto in a concert hall that I designed. To make this dream come true, I practice a little piano every day and designed an independent study on architecture and music. I will be published in May 2025!
